Spirey is part of a spaceship crew taking part in a kind of forever war over some resource rich but uninhabited part of space. After fighting an enemy, he gets stranded on an asteroid along with the apparent foe, and finds out some surprising things about the other side. |

Nicely written with some hard sf elements. The sloppy style of the protagonist is a bit annoying though, especially at the beginning. |
