09.07.2010 20:58 malte@skipforward.net This feels like a collection of rather unrelated stories. The iranian revolution is a good read but quite irrelevant to the rest of the plot. The biggest problem is that the setup for Martin's turning to Nasim for help later is very contrived. Also, I was let down a bit by the fact that for Egan's standards the implications of reconstructing (part of) personalities in software are not investigated thoroughly. Still, the book is an interesting and enthralling read.
